Beijing, March 19 (Xinhua) - China increases investment in road tract infrastructure in the first two months of the year, according to data from the Ministry of Transportation.

Investment of fixed assets in the roadway infrastructure and navigable pathways jumped 14.8 percent year after year to 273.1 billion yuan (approximately 43.1 billion of US dollars) from January to February.

Southwest China Guizhou Province reported faster growth in this regard, with the investment that doubles more than a year ago to 20.67 billion yuan in the first two months.

The Tianjin Municipality of North China saw the most acute decrease during the period, with the investment that submerged 76.2 percent year over year, data were displayed. EndItem
