Beijing, January 23 (Xinhua) - The volume of passengers on the road from China fell 26.2 percent year with the year in 2021 in part because the outbreaks of Covid-19 Sporadic reaches transportation activities, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Transport.

Road passenger trips amounted to 5.09 billion last year. Only in December, trips to the passengers on the road reached 375.87 million.

Northwest China's Shaanxi Province saw the most acute decrease in the volume of passengers on the road in 2021, for 56.8 percent year after year, followed by the provinces of Qinghai and Gansu.

Beijing, however, reported an increase of 14.3 percent on passenger trips on the road last year, while Tianjin saw an increase of 12 , 5 percent, the data shown. EndItem
