It is estimated that the amount of train trips from April 29 to May 6 will reach 100 million, said the ministry.
The Chinese railway police will strengthen efforts to eliminate potential risks, patrol the main locations during peak hours more frequently and pay more attention, and intensify repression to illegal activities in trains and in the Stations to guarantee the safety of the passengers, the ministry added.
