Beijing, March 15 (Xinhua) - The National Observatory of China on Monday issued a yellow alert for sandstorms in the northern part of the country.

From Monday to 8 AM, Tuesday, affected by cold fronts and heavy winds, the sandy sand and powder are expected to sweep Xinjiang parts, Internal Mongolia , Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin, predicted the National Meteorological Center.

Some regions in the indoor, Ningxia, Shaanxi and Shanxi Mongolia will be hit by strong sandstorms, said downtown.

The center has advised the public to take precautions against heavy winds and sandstorms, and suggested that drivers prepare for poor visibility.

China has a four-level color climate alert system for sand storms with red representing the most severe, followed by orange, yellow and blue. EndItem
